WORLD VISION LAUNCHES 2026-30 STRATEGY IN SOUTH SUDAN

Juba, South Sudan: World Vision has officially launched its new 2026–2030 country strategy, reaffirming its commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children, families, and communities across South Sudan.

During the launch event held in Juba, the international humanitarian organization outlined its core strategic pillars, placing strong emphasis on child protection, health, and nutrition as key priorities over the next five years.

World Visions country Director Dr. Mesfin Loha noted that the 2026–2030 plan builds on lessons learned from previous programs and aligns with national development goals and global humanitarian standards. The strategy also highlights the importance of partnerships with government institutions, faith leaders, and local communities in delivering sustainable impact.

“ The 2026-2030 strategic direction in the country of South Sudan, marked by extreme deprivation, violence, and disaster, continues to undermine the well-being of children, families, and communities, In response to this, and in response to the issue of children and communities, our aim is to transform the lives of 5 million most vulnerable children in South Sudan by 2030 through direct programs and interventions and advocates”, Said Dr. Mesfin Loha.

The launch brought together government representatives, development partners, civil society organizations, and community leaders, all expressing support for the renewed commitment to safeguarding the wellbeing of South Sudanese children.

World Vision says it remains dedicated to working alongside communities to create lasting change and ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
