Juba South Sudan: SSFA President Meets Qatari Football Federation Secretary-General to Revive 2020 Cooperation Agreement

The President of the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFA), Mr. Francis Amin Michael, met today with the Secretary-General of the Qatar Football Association, Mr. Mohamed Mansour Al-Ansari, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two federations.

The meeting focused on reactivating the cooperation agreement originally signed in 2020 between the SSFA and the Qatar Football Association. Speaking after the meeting, Mr. Francis Amin described the engagement as successful, noting that both sides agreed to fully revive the earlier agreement and expand it.

According to the SSFA President, the renewed agreement will include new areas of collaboration such as the development of administration, refereeing, media, and digital media, as well as broader sports development initiatives. He emphasized that South Sudan stands to benefit greatly from Qatar’s extensive experience in sports development and management.

Mr. Amin further commended Qatar for its continued role in hosting major international competitions in recent years. He also called on the Qatar Football Association to support the SSFA in areas of capacity building to help strengthen football structures in South Sudan.
